SCI has been producing DOT approved composite cylinders
since 1976. SCI has hundreds of models to select from. SCI is one of
the largest suppliers to the Self Contained Breathing Apparatus industry
(SCBA).
SCI offers carbon, kevlar and fiberglass
wrapped SCBA cylinders with operating pressures up to 5000 psi. SCI's
cylinders primarily use an aluminum liner except for Europe where regulations
allow an all composite cylinder to be used. SCI can design a specific
cylinder that will perfectly address a customer's needs of weight, length,
diameter and operating pressure, or a customer can select from the 100's
of already approved designs.
